Summary:
In a world hell-bent on pushing her down, Penny Queen pushes onwards. But after a night of binge drinking, she wakes to find she's been violated by her ex-boyfriend. Who can she turn to now that her whole life revolves around his?
This story won't take the canon characters at face value, and I want to really do a deep dive into their true motivations and flaws. It's a character piece and a romance, and doesn't fetishize trauma. I hope anyone scared off by the theme can read this story anyway, for I put a lot of my heart and soul into it.

I read through this in a little over a day. It was that compelling. Basically, this is a story where Leonard sexually assaults Penny and there's... quite a bit of aftermath.
Some things I think this fic did really well include:
* Actually giving Penny a reasonable career path. Because TBBT is a sitcom, it's fine for her to be a wannabe actress working as a waitress for 11 years. In real life, that sucks. (It happens, but it sucks). Penny has an actual arc here. (And a *last name*, how scandalous)
* Sheldon gets interiority & a realistic portrayal of OCD
* Pacing is good. There's indulgent hurt/comfort-y emotional beats as well as plot
* Hits the hurt/comfort id buttons, but is a pretty grounded depiction, without one partner in the relationship becoming entirely the hurt one or the comforter.
