Summary: The Witchblade brings Sarah to Cascade, and into the lives of a Sentinel and his Guide. All Sara wanted was to start over, but Cascade's no ordinary city. Can she and Jim solve a series of murders before it's too late?

Reccer's Notes: I'm a big fan of the Sentinel, but barely remember Witchblade; however, this series tugged at my curiosity. I was blown away by how well the author made these two fandoms intersect, and how well Sara fits with Jim and Blair. As I suspected, for someone who has very little knowledge of the Witchblade universe, this was a perfect introduction to Sara and the Witchblade. As Jim and Blair get to know Sara, the reader does, too; we learn what the blade does and how it affects Sara -- and, through her, Jim and Blair. As the series progresses, the three grow closer; Sara learns that she can depend on Jim and Blair, and they learn how to temper the 'blade's worst effects on Sara. Each story is a solid case fic, requiring sentinel and guide and witchblade and wielder to resolve.

Content Notes: Canon-typical violence and injury to victims.

Summary: All Sara wanted was to start over, but Cascade's no ordinary city. Can she and Jim solve a series of murders before it's too late?

Reccer's Notes: After I read this story, I immediately galloped on to the next three. I hardly know how to rec it; mostly I was just blown away by how well the author made these two fandoms intersect, and how well Sara fits with Jim and Blair. As I suspected, for someone who has very little knowledge of the Witchblade universe, this was a perfect introduction to Sara and the Witchblade, what it does and how it affects her -- and, through her, Jim and Blair. It's the start of a wonderful series with engrossing stories that are very well done.

Content Notes: The murders -- which are pretty gory -- are not depicted in graphic detail, but they are discussed as part of the case and discovering bodies. Also, the Witchblade is sometimes difficult for Sara to carry, causing blood and pain.
