Reccer's Notes: This story makes me so happy. Adam and Jamie meet as kids in the school on their space station and become friends. Like, that's so many of my favorite things in one sentence already, but it's also about neurodiversity and acceptance, and it perfectly translates the grown-up Adam and Jamie into these little kids who are still figuring out who they are. A wonderful story about friendship, love, and science.

Reccer's Notes: What I love about this fic is how real and not simple it is. It's a coming-out fic in which both people are honestly struggling, and both keep trying to get to the heart of things except they don't even agree on what the heart of things is. The characterization feels very tight to me, too - the fic doesn't shrink from the fact that Adam, while well-meaning, is kind of an asshole, or from the fact that Jamie kind of defiantly doesn't know how to get into anyone's head but his own. And the moments of humor are pitched just right - they don't make this anything less than what it is. It's a raw, honest fic.

I don't often like fic where children are the main characters, but this is really delightful; it's about best friends and neurodiversity and it's set in space and there's realism and math and science and the promise of robots. It's full of wonderful things.
