Summary: For someone he'd hero-worshipped for so long, Steve Rogers in the flesh is a pretty big disappointment. For one thing, he keeps looking at Tony as though he reminds him of someone else, and even if he never says anything, Tony's pretty sure it's his father. A lifetime of not measuring up to Howard's expectations is more than enough, thank you very much, and he's certainly not going to make an effort to live up to any of Steve's. Steve's pretty clearly failed to live up to his expectations, in any case, and that's not hypocritical at all.

Reccer's Notes: Very interesting plot, sometimes painful but with a great ending.

Reccer's Notes: I sometimes have quite a difficult time with stories that move backwards and forwards in time like this, but in this one it really worked for me. It pulled me into the story and gave it an emotional impact that I don't think a more "traditional" narrative would have done. And I love how it's both funny and sweet and the ending is especially lovely.

Summary: It's Frank's last day off before the North American leg of the World Contamination Tour begins, so he's not particularly happy when his nap is interrupted by a frantic phone call from Gerard. Gee's clearly upset about something, but the urgent instructions he gives Frank as he rushes back to their hotel room are not making much sense. And why does Gerard keep asking Frank if he's alone?
Frank's confusion only grows from there. The next thing he knows, Gerard is right there, kissing him - which should be impossible, considering Gee's still on his way, and talking to Frank on the phone. It is Gerard kissing Frank, though. A blond Gerard. Gerard, circa 2006.
And if that wasn't enough to give Frank the mother of all headaches, it appears that there are actually not only one, not even two, but three Gerards come from various dark times in Gee's past, congregating in the hotel room, looking for hints of a brighter future.
This is the tale of Frank and the four Gerards, and of the afternoon that set everything in motion.

Reccer's Notes: This is one of my favourite stories from last year's BBB. It's so much more than the "simple" time-travel PWP it seems at first glance. It's thoughtful and sad and happy and so full of love - Frank's love for Gerard in all his incarnations and Gerard's love and understanding of his younger selves. It's also a fantastic character portrait of Gerard even though it's written from Frank's POV. Getting to see the different versions of him together really brings home how much he's changed and grown over the band's career. The scorchingly hot sex is an extra bonus to this heartbreaking and heartwarming and completely fascinating story.

I also really enjoy the atmosphere of this story, and Sai's dedication to Go shines clearly through.

This is a remix of this drabble Interludes by Hostilecrayon which is also quite good!

Reccer's Notes:
This is quite fascinating with the way Cloud goes in a different direction that he planned - that even though he's gone back in time, he can't predict everything that happens, but will learn to adapt to it one way or another.

The short drabble style of the pieces, work together to produce a really intriguing world, one where Cloud changes things in a way that might not be predicted - is certainly welcome.
