Reccer's Notes: Kings was a 2009 TV show which was basically a modern AU of the Biblical story of David and Saul. It was really good, leaning into the drama and grandeur and complexity and horror and queerness of the Biblical narrative. It breathed life into the characters, and it was so good on every level--the writing, acting, cinematography were all uniformly excellent. This vid takes that show and distills the heart of it down into 3.5 minutes. It's gorgeous.
