I’ve been looking for an excuse to vid this song for YEARS and then there’s a show about a literal captain on a literal boat who is out of his depths and has issues around abandoning people?? Amazing.

Reccer's Notes: Once in a while the Universe gifts vidders with the perfect match of character and song. This is one of those times. The song takes its singer on a journey that aligns with Stede's own, a journey rife with the struggles of trying your best, failing, and trying again, until finally one day you hear that blessed cry: Land ho! And really, who among us hasn't been there? Every time I watch this vid, I clutch my hands to my chest and can't stop smiling.
